Back in 2005, I decided to make a tutorial for a project I had never even attempted: covering a pen with fimo. The results were so bad, they were never shared. Until now.

About the video:
I was looking in my crafty archives for some fails to share with you, when I happened upon an entire folder of virgin photos, never been shared with anyone. As I clicked through them, I discovered they made sort of an animated tutorial, so I made this little CraftFail film for you.

I take pictures for potential tutorials before I’ve really tried a technique all the time, too. I’m sure I’ve got some great fails in the collection, if I didn’t just delete them entirely and destroy the evidence.

I used to watch a crafting show on HGTV called “The Carol Duvall Show” and she would do really bizarre things with Fimo. including covering everything that wasn’t nailed down. So trying to cover a pen with Fimo doesn’t really surprise me.
