Looking at this site and a few other ‘crafting failures’ today, I realize something I was told really rings true: NO ONE CAN SEE THE PICTURE INSIDE YOUR HEAD, they also can’t do a side-by-side comparison with the directions. Point? Just because it wasn’t what we set out to do, doesn’t mean it isn’t beautiful. We get blinded by our frustration, and although I realize that pics don’t show everything, hopefully this blog will do more than help us laugh at our disappointments. I think the Spam soap is adorable and would prolly sell out at craft shows. The fall bouquet only looked unfinished to me. I could go on. I spent weeks hand embroidering a shirt then gave it to my cuz telling her, “you can wear it to go slop the pigs.” She saved it to go out dancing. Creative spirit isn’t about perfection, it’s about changing the world around you into something that changes you. :)
