It’s, um… a leaf?

After a long walk in the woods yesterday, I was inspired to crochet some leaves.  I went home, got out my green yarn and my favorite hook, and set to work designing my own beautiful leaf.

I could tell as I was working on my first attempt that it wasn’t going to turn out as I envisioned…  But I finished it anyway.  The result was, um….  Well, it speaks for itself:

Luckily, the second try went much better, and resulted in a pattern for a very cute oak leaf!  [link]

And now, it’s time to move on to the next experiment!  Until then, happy crafting!

The first attempt reminds me of salad greens (I don’t remember the type that I am thinking about) or perhaps the leaf to a daisy. Anyway, I actually really like it. It really depends on what kind of leaf you are going for. :) You should post the directions for the first one as well!
