Each Friday on my blog, I do what I call “Found Object Friday”, which is where my Facebook fans get to challenge me by naming random objects for me to use in a piece of jewelry. One of my fans suggested a fly swatter, so I sat down to work on a polymer clay pendant with fly swatter impressions and a piece of the fly swatter handle in it. I did intend to burn the clay for the discoloration and distressed edge, but I did not intend to completely forget about it when I came upstairs for coffee! Thirty minutes later I ran back to my toaster oven and found this horrible melted mess. Oops.
