I was trying to make a felted diaper changing pad, which was a little misshapen as I crocheted it. I thought somehow that it would correct itself when I slip stitched them together and felted. Alas, the mishapenness lingered. Felting definitely helped, but it did not fully correct the problem.
So, I tried to make it into toddler booties, and as you can see, the result, while not so horrible, is still pretty horrible!
Never mind that they are about 4 sizes too big for my son and that my 2 and a half year old daughter fell over laughing when she saw him in them. Okay . . . let’s face it . . . the toddler slippers are destined for the donate pile. But at least I don’t have a misshapen felted granny rectangle mess on my hands.
