While these beaded flip flops look beautiful, I made a huge mistake in the construction.
They are impossible to wear because I wrapped the wire and beads all the way down the straps. So, beads and wire are under my foot when I walk in them. it hurts like the dickens! It is worse than walking across gravel barefooted.
So, I urge you to make a gorgeous pair of beaded flip flops like these, but STOP before the end. I think you have to try them on and see where you need to stop.
I wore them once and they are sitting in my closet looking pretty and useless.

I never would have thought of that detail! Now I know. I guess you can always take them apart and start over…. or hang them up and make them into a piece of art!
May I suggest using thread or fishing line next time? Much more comfortable! They are adorable :)
You could always hot glue or attach somehow a strip of felt underneath to make it more comfortable! They really are pretty!
