My oh my, these cinnamon sugar pumpkin donuts look delish. That’s what Mel from The Larson Lingo thought when she set out to make them in her pinterest test kitchen!
The dough was so thick, and it wouldn’t pipe into circles (donuts) like the recipe said.
I decided to make them into donut holes.
They didn’t turn out like donut holes, more like donut blobs.
And, they didn’t taste like donut holes AT ALL. Not even close.

ha, they look like the donuts I made. Same thing, they didn’t look or taste like donuts.
The best way to make homemade donuts is to just fry canned biscuits with the centers cut out with a shot glass. Then dip them in homemade vanilla and chocolate glaze made with powdered sugar and milk and cocoa powder for the chocolate. YUMMM.
I made these twice now, and they have turned out great. You have to make sure not to over mix, and to add dry to the wet to incorporate. Donut pans work the best. I piped it into the pan by cutting the tip off of a ziploc bag. Hope this helps
