Gotta say, I actually prefer the “fail”! The thicker thread gives it a much more appealing texture. And the little one is so cute!

I had seen those bowls on Pinterest and did NOT pin them. I would absolutely pin the “jute” bowls!
I think the “fail” looks cute! Though the fact that it took about 1 row to make a bowl the same size as the whole basket in the Pinterest example is pretty funny.
The real problem is that the thicker the yarn, the bigger you’ve got to make ‘em to make it work. Yes, they won’t be the same size, but I’ve got a basket made out of t-shirt yarn that’ll double as a small laundry hamper!
