Minnie Mouse Cake Pops – perfect! By Bakerella

Reader Cait intended to make Minnie Mouse cake pops: “Adorable and went with the party theme for my niece’s first birthday party,” she said. Cake pops have been a sensation ever since Bakerella started making amazing cake pops and posting about them on her drool-worthy blog.

If they didn’t fall apart, then they lost one or both ears in the chocolate.

Some of them even fell off the stick into the chocolate.

Cait said, “I will NOT be trying cake pops again ever. Plus they weren’t even good, far too sweet for my taste! (Notice I recycled my husband’s Perfect Push Up box-HA!)”

Simple…Cake was wrong, not compact enough. And did you freeze them? Usually they don’t use chocolate to cover the balls, but I have done it before so that’s not the problem.

I’m actually a very good baker and make quite a lot of cakes and cupcakes. I tried cakepops once and they were horrible. What a total mess! And the ones that were reasonable were disgusting to eat. I will never try them again. This post is so true.

If they’re too sweet for you, you could always try the cake pop pan– then you’re using just cake and no icing and it’s less sweet. But if you go with those, you can’t mold and do more intricate designs. Don’t ever give up completely! :)

I got that nifty little baby cakes thing, kinda like a waffle maker for cake balls, and had issues with them falling off but didn’t freeze/cool them first either. But then you don’t have to worry about the nasty taste of all that frosting. The only downside is they’re not perfectly bally, but who cares.
