Making your own skeleton leaves, what could be simpler? Iryna from My Art Glass World made skeleton leaves, so Suzy from Suzy’s Artsy Craftsy Sitcom knew she could, too. With just a few steps, and some ingredients from her kitchen and laundry room. What could possibly go wrong? Read about Suzy’s Skeleton Leaf Fail.
My favorite quote? “If leaves had butts, I imagine this is what they’d smell like.”
“There came a point where I had to admit defeat. The leaf butts had won.”
Llooks like the orignal tutorial didn’t get it right either…
I was just doing this yesterday! Ideally the leaves need to be a bit thick and waxy; thin ones will just fall apart like spinach, and the skin won’t come off thicker leaves. I use ivy leaves, and they come out fabulously. :)
That said, boiled washing powder and leaves *does* smell awful. xD
Oh… I just tapped my dryed leaves with a brush, a really soft baby hairbrush to be precise. And.. it worked A LOT better :D
