Reader Claire took to Pinterest for some tips on dressing up her tresses, like the simple braided up-do Stacy of Hart & Sew shared:
Lovely, sweet, casual… elegant in its simplicity, really, and oh-so-easy to achieve. Right?
So after some teasing, twisting, spraying and swearing, Claire came away with the following conclusion – and posted to her tumblr blog:
“Any kind of braid seen on Pinterest is un-possible to replicate in real life.”
The side-half-pony-braid-bun? Nailed it.
Ha,…that is exactly what it’s like when I try to do my own hair in one of these fancy twists or buns, lol. Love it.
Ha,ha,ha AWESOME! That’s what my hair looks like too when I have tried to do those braid things in the past.:)
I’ve never tried this one, but I do have two books called Beautiful Braids and More Beautiful Braids…I think they’re from the 80s or 90s. I’ve actually had a lot of luck with them, so if you can find them somewhere, give them a shot! Anything that can teach this girl how to do hair is a downright miracle worker!
