What about Oreos?
If you answered “yes” to both questions, you’ll know that each one is a collision of tantalizingly sweet flavors that are irresistible.
And then, one day, someone decided to put the two together.
In what might just be a supernova of flavor that rocks the senses in sweet bliss with the first bite, this recipe has got to be one for the books. Or the waistline, but we won’t talk about that.
Instead, we’ll talk about love. The love that reader Anne has for her husband. (Or, maybe he was just the excuse to make these.)
She knew he liked both types of cookies and when she ran across this photo, it was the love, the LOVE, that drove her to make a batch.
But, let’s hope love knows no boundaries. Dough boundaries. D’OH!
Anne reports that the flavor still is to die for. She’s even made a few more batches.
It’s for LOVE, people.
But, despite having a little practice, she said she can’t quite get the cookies to look like the original picture. She confesses that she puts too much dough on the bottom.
Oh well. At least they taste good. Despite the D’OH!

Maybe if she baked the cookies in a muffin tin they wouldn’t spread out so much?
Yeah you need to bake them in a muffin tin.
Also you need to put the dough into the fridge to chill for about 10 minutes to avoid spread.
The “failed” ones still are pretty cute. They look like little sunhats!
These are best with the minty oreos. Mine spread out, too, but I’m usually in too much of a hurry to bake them before I eat all the oreos to let the batter chill. >_>
