The Pintester Takes On The Dirty Girl Scout

OMG, you guys, it’s Girl Scout Cookie season! Rarely, if ever, am I so excited by the prospect of over-priced, mass-produced cookies, but let’s be honest here: Thin Mints are the shit. In fact, they are second only in my mind to a good stiff drink.

But the other day I found a pin that combines both in a holy union of Girl Scout Cookie and hard liquor. I give you the Dirty Girl Scout:

Cue choirs of angels.

I wasted no time in pulling together the ingredients.

Now you guys know how I feel about Creme de Menthe. And this recipe actually calls for white Creme de Menthe, but all I can ever find at the liquor store is Leprechaun-green Creme de Menthe. So I knew this was going to look funky, if not taste super weird…

And I was right.

Not the cutest scout in the troupe, if you know what I mean.

And I was a little unsure of it at first…

But I’ll tell you what, even with a first impression like that, she weaseled her way into my little alchie heart and then kicked my ass. Guys, this drink has five shots in it. She ain’t messin’ around.

So, I’d say this drink earned its cocktail badge. And maybe it’ll eventually grow up into a real beauty. You never know.
