Easter Cookies – a flat-out fail

easter cookies

Keep your dentist on speed dial, because Easter is coming. If you’re like me, that means a whole lot of candies, not to mention other sugary treats like these Easter M&M cookies from Mama Grubbs Grub, are about to happen to your tooth enamel. And hips.

Reader Amanda, of Dreamsicle Sisters, is my kind of woman, because she’s already getting a head start on her Easter baking. She found a recipe on Pinterest for sugar cookies similar to the ones above, but she was so busy planning an Eastery twist (adding food coloring to tint them beautiful pastel shades) that she didn’t notice one small problem. Unlike Mama Grubbs’ delightful recipe, the Pinterest impostor cookies called for about eight truckloads of flour.

Amanda says they still tasted okay, which I’m sure is true. She also says you shouldn’t believe everything you see on Pinterest – I’m very sure that’s true, too.

These are clearly pancakes. Slap some syrup on those babies and eat them for breakfast. Problem solved!
