Chicken à la Yard Waste

double crunch honey chickenThe name of this dish by Rock Recipes is Double Crunch Honey Garlic Chicken, which is almost as much of a mouthful as the chicken itself.

Unfortunately, I’ll never get to eat it due to my self-imposed rule about not cooking anything with more than four ingredients; I’m assuming I’d have to rule out this entree, since my ingredient quota is nearly met in the recipe title alone. But luckily for CraftFail reader Linda, she has no such rule! When she saw this mouth-watering photo on Pinterest, she pounded her chicken breasts flat, seasoned them, dipped them, oiled them up, and probably even sprinkled lawn clippings on them, just like in the picture.

honey garlic chicken failHmm, maybe not *just* like the picture – although it does look like something you might find on the lawn.

  2. I am sad that this didn’t work out for the person who made it. I have made this numerous times and it turns out wonderful!

Don’t be such a loser, just the right light or some photoshop just as in the original :)

  5. This is Barry from RockRecipes.com and I am the original creator of this recipe and photo. I roared with laughter when I saw this epic fail photo. I totally feel that I’ve arrived on the food blogger scene now that I have my own “nailed it” photo! I’m posting a link in some food blogger forums and bathe in the other bloggers jealousy.

Barry, what a great sense of humor you have! And I’m so happy to tell you personally that I DID make your recipe, despite the fact that I never make anything besides mac and cheese, and it’s one of my family’s favorite dinners! Mine still doesn’t look a tenth as good as yours, but it tastes DELICIOUS. Thank you!
