Turtles and monkeys and bread – oh my!

Betty Crocker turtle monkey breadThis is Slow Cooker Turtle Monkey Bread by Betty Crocker, and before you waste a bunch of brain cells trying to figure out what a “turtle monkey” is, like I did, allow me to explain the recipe. This is bread (You with me so far?) made to taste like chocolate pecan turtles (yum) which you make in the slow cooker (Convenient!) and then tear apart like a monkey (just go with it).

CraftFail reader Deb must share my belief that anything is worth eating as long as it has chocolate melted on it, no matter how many zoo animals it’s named after.

turtle monkey bread failAt least it was still tasty, according to Deb, even though it looks like something a monkey would be more likely to throw than eat.
