Rudolph the crappy cake pop

marshmallow reindeer popOnce upon a time, there was a reindeer who lived at the North Pole. He didn’t have any friends because of his crazy red nose, but luckily for him, that very special feature made him just adorable enough to help Santa, inspire a Christmas carol, become a holiday legend, and be made into cute reindeer marshmallow pops like this one by Make’n’Mold. (They get credit because the idea – and this photo – originally appeared on their site several years ago, but the recipe doesn’t appear to be there anymore.)

Not to worry, though; spend just ten seconds on Pinterest and you’ll be able to find plenty of tutorials for making these merry treats. All you really need to do is poke a stick into a marshmallow, dip it in chocolate, add some pretzel antlers, candy eyes and a cinnamon hot nose. Couldn’t be easier!

That’s why Kimberly of couldn’t ask for more chose this project to tackle with her daughter to make as yummy teacher gifts! Oh, I bet those lucky teachers were thrilled!

Oh, did I say “thrilled”? I meant terrified. Rudolph looks like he spends more time getting run over by Santa’s sleigh than pulling it… I guess that’s why Kimberly opted to keep these treats home from school and send a different, less mangled treat to class.marshmallow reindeer pop nailed itFor more funny find Robyn at Hollow Tree Ventures, where she avoids disasters like this by just drinking the melted chocolate straight from the pan.
