Potholder looms have been around since I was a kid, but I don’t remember them being nearly as popular back then as they are now. Of course, maybe I should ask my mom, since she would’ve been the one trying to find enough kitchen drawers for all those completely useless and tacky (oops, I mean ADORABLE) potholders.
There are tons of potholder loom options in the toy aisles these days, like this one from Lots O’ Loops, which is the one CraftFail reader Robyn (not me, another Robyn – THERE ARE TWO OF US!) brought home for her daughter to try. All they wanted was a simple weaving project to do together, with maybe the additional reward of a lovely hot pad or other nifty product, like this:

But you can tell Robyn’s daughter is going to be a world-class crafter anyway, because she immediately insisted her mom send the photo to CraftFail. Win!
