Yes, please. I love every word in that recipe title, Food Network.
I can see why reader Lucy wanted to make them as a treat for her coworkers (note: I know that makes you wish you were one of Lucy’s coworkers, but you might want to scroll down before you quit your current job).
I’ll let Lucy explain what went horribly, horribly wrong.
My first problem was starting at 1am. Then not having enough cream cheese.
Soon after popping the cheesecake in the fridge, I had to transport the semi-refrigerated delight to another location (a different story). A stop-over while getting from A-B meant the cheesecake sat melting in the car boot for a good half-hour.
Back in the fridge and left overnight.
The next night, I attempted the chocolate dipping/inserting the popsicle sticks part.
Could only find 80% chocolate. Way too bitter.
The re-refrigerated cheesecake was tasting pretty awful.
I then realised the popsicle sticks had been lost somewhere along the way getting from A-B.
48 hours later, my colleagues are grimacing while chewing, saying they taste nice – although I have put up an ‘Eat at your own risk’ sign, as well as a picture of what they’re SUPPOSED to look like. FAIL.
Oh well, Lucy, it was an awfully nice gesture – even if they tasted awfully not nice!
