Zonked Zebra

June22

by KMOM14

I was going to use this zebra applique on my no-sew skirt and to keep with the no-sew theme got out a piece of double sided iron on bonding paper. I have used the stuff in years, but as I used to use it all the time when my son was little to embellish his clothes, I just put a piece over the FRONT of the image and ironed away.

I then realized that I should have ironed on the BACK of the applique, not the top, as the BACK of the applique is ironed on to the FRONT of the skirt.

    Oops!

I did that once. I had the stuff on the correct side of the applique, but it was upside down. Totally ruined the towel I was ironing over. lol.

Iron was fine as the backing paper was on it – just should have ironed it to the back of the zebra and not the front. Now they can now never be part of the jungle them tank top that they were intended, but it will just have to take them on a different crafting path (as I can’t bear to throw things away) and will likely end up being glued on a box to decorate something else.
