After about three hours of VERY extensive cosmetic surgery, here he is — the One And Only….

As you can see, he is still bitter about how I wrote him off. He thinks I didn’t try hard enough in the first place. And he’s right; I really didn’t. Because I had — and don’t tell him this — Better Things To Do. And I still do. Yet I just spent three hours trying to make him cute. And he’s still kind of… well… NOT. Oh well.

Anyone want to adopt a slightly cantankerous, definitely bitter, not-quite-cute froggy?

I don’t think he looks cantankerous or bitter. I think he looks sad. And wouldn’t you be too if your mommy told the whole world how not-cute you are. I think I may go to the corner and cry a tear for the little guy. ;)

I recently had a crafting nightmare where after I totally ruined the object (one of those cute petal backpacks) and wasted an hour and a half of my time, I walked around whining (albeit a little “put on”) like a 2 year old. I think if you were to take a sharpie and give him pupils for his eyes, he will endear himself to you a bit more.
And maybe attach a bug on a piece of elastic to whack him in his funny mouth. He sort of grows on you, though. ;P

oh, his IS to cute! Do a drop for the Toy Society at your local park, I’m sure some child would love to give him a home. He reminds me of the frog in the children’s book called “FROOOOGGGGGGGGGGY!”

But I do understand – things don’t always go as expected. But this “failure” is actually a big winner!

Why don’t you try to sew his blue pupils on top of the eyeballs? And maybe add a pupil?
