OMG: Oh My Gourd

November24

I am having way too much fun playing with gourds and I just have to share! (Heather’s note: Click here for Pam’s awesome Festive Gourd Ornaments and Baubles.)
To create a smooth, hi-gloss surface on the gourd, I sprayed it with Glossy Acrylic .  But I wanted a really deep, highly shiny gloss finish so I ignored instructions to the contrary and sprayed on a a good heavy application.

I like it!! I saw the picture in a reader before I realized that it was craftfail. I liked the soft, blurry look of it.

I love gourds. I’ve been playing with them for years. I love how you can do absolutely anything with them!

I actually like it! It gave it a pretty watercolor effect.

I think TexasWren and Melanie may have stumbled on a great idea! I can’t imagine there would be much control, but if you are into serendipitous art – getting the ink to run on purpose might yield some interesting results!

I do want everyone to know that the clever, humorous title is ALL HEATHER! And I love the title she came up with. I am quite sure those were close to my very words!
